Technical visits will be organized on 27th of August, 2007 according to request of participants. Visiting institute and companies are as the following:

1. TUBITAK UME Acoustical Group Laboratories
The National Metrology Institute (UME) of Turkey efforts in creating a functioning technical metrological base for the Turkish economy, providing excellent conditions for the creation of a center of excellence in various areas of metrology. Acoustical Group Laboratories are one of the few well equipped laboratories with special acoustical rooms. www.ume.tubitak.gov.tr

2. Arçelik, Acoustics Laboratory
Arçelik is the producer of a full range of household appliances. It is the 3rd largest white goods producer in Europe. The company provides products and services to consumers in more than 100 countries with its 8 production plants, 12 international companies and 9 brands. www.arcelikas.com.tr

3. Ford Otosan
Ford Otosan is the automotive manufacturer as the joint venture of Ford Motor Company. The company has Ford's most modern factory in the world, in Gölcük, Turkey where it uses cutting-edge production technologies. Ford Otosan, the keystone and trailblazer in Turkish automotive industry, is the only company that can perform the design and development of a vehicle completely by itself in Turkey www.ford.com.tr

Kindly please note that:
  • 10 to 15 participants will be accepted. Visits may be cancelled if less than 10 participants apply for each visiting place.
  • Only one institute or company can be visited.
  • Arçelik and Ford Otosan can only accept participants from universities due to restrictions applied to competitor companies
  • Transportation and lunch are free of charge.
  • ICEC is the departure & arrival point for technical visits.
  • Visit will start at 09:00 am in the morning and will end at 04:00 pm in the afternoon.
  • First 15 applications will be accepted for every visit.
  • Applications for the Technical Visit will be accepted via the online registration form within the congress web site. Please check the web site regularly.
