A sufficient number of rooms have been reserved at selected, international standard category hotels in Istanbul. Special reduced rates have been obtained and guaranteed for the INTER-NOISE 2007 Congress participants, but only if booked by completing and submitting the Online Registration Form from the Congress website.
To obtain the special room rates noted below at hotels in the vicinity of the ICEC where the Congress will be held, all Congress participants are requested to pay their basic hotel account (room + breakfast) to the Congress Secretariat, not to the hotel. Alternatively, a reservation for a sleeping room may be made directly with a hotel, but the rate may be higher then the special rates quoted below. Only the extra hotel expenses such as restaurants, room service, mini bar, laundry, business center etc. should be settled with the hotel's cashier at the time of check-out.
Accommodation will be allocated on "first come, first served" basis. As August is Istanbul's high season, early booking is highly advised. No accommodation booking can be guaranteed unless it is accompanied by a deposit equal to the price of one night per room. Because of the special arrangements that have been made with the hotels listed below to secure the very favorable rates, the balance covering the unpaid amount of the total anticipated period of the stay at one of the hotels must be paid to the Congress Secretariat by no later than July 15, 2007. The procedure for paying the balance of the anticipated room charges at a selected hotel is given on the Online Registration Form that is found elsewhere on the link to ACCOMMODATION DETAILS. If a participant does not pay the balance of anticipated room charges to the Congress Secretariat by the close of business on 15 July 2007, the Congress Secretariat may not be able to guarantee that a hotel room can be provided at the special rate quoted below. Additional charges may be required and must be paid by the close of business on 15 July 2007 to confirm the room reservation. No payments of the balance of room charges can be accepted after 15 July 2007 and payment of the first night's room charge will be forfeited.
If, by the time the payment for the balance of the anticipated room charges is received, there are no rooms left at the chosen hotel and for the desired view, if applicable, the Congress Secretariat reserves the right to allocate a room in another hotel of the same or similar quality rating. In this event, if the room charge at the alternative hotel is less than the room charge at the chosen hotel, the Congress Secretariat will issue a credit-card refund for the amount of the difference within five business days after receipt of the payment. If the room charge at the alternative hotel is greater than the room charge at the chosen hotel, the Congress Secretariat will request, by e-mail, payment of the additional amount.
If a participant has booked an accommodation for INTER-NOISE 2007 and is unable to attend, the participant may transfer the confirmed booking to another individual by e-mail notification to the Congress Secretariat. The Secretariat will promptly advise the alternative individual of the hotel booking and of any obligation to pay unpaid hotel room charges:
- For cancellation notices received on or before 31 May 2007, an administrative fee of 25 euro will be deducted and the rest of the amount paid will be refunded to you by credit-card refund within five business days after the Congress Secretariat receives the cancellation notice.
- For cancellation notices received between 01 June 2007 and 15 July 2007, the deposit paid for the first night's room will be deducted in full and the rest of your hotel-room payment will be refunded to you within five business days after the Congress Secretariat receives the cancellation notice.
- No refund will be made for cancellation notices received after 15 July 2007
All cancellations and changes must be made in writing to the Congress Secretariat. If a participant does not arrive at the hotel on the confirmed reservation date or leaves before the confirmed date, we regret to inform you that the hotel is entitled to charge the prevailing standard rate for the reserved room night.

A limited number of rooms have been reserved in the Gümüşsuyu Guest House of Istanbul Technical University for students and participants seeking less-expensive accommodation. This type of accommodation will also be allocated on "first come, first served" basis. Due to guest house regulations, no booking can be guaranteed unless it is accompanied by the full payment covering the whole stay and paid to the Congress Secretariat and received by no later than 15 July 2007 (please see below for the price chart). No cancellations will be accepted, since the guest house administration does not have a refund policy.
Important Notice: PPlease note that the ITU Guest House has no breakfast service and also does not provide room service nor laundry service.
